Why This Vocal Remover Sounds Better
You’ve found the perfect song for karaoke night, a cover, or a remix — but every “instrumental version” you can find online is the wrong key, low quality, or still has the singer ghosting in the background. This tool works from your own file instead: upload the song, and a couple of minutes later you have two tracks — the instrumental and the acapella — in the same quality you uploaded.
Real AI separation, not the old stereo trick
Most free vocal removers just play the stereo channels against each other. The vocal gets quieter, but the drums and bass hollow out with it, and the result sounds like it’s playing underwater. Notevibes runs Demucs — the same AI separation engine behind many paid stem tools — which genuinely recognizes the voice and lifts it out, leaving the music full and wide. That’s also why it takes a minute or three instead of being instant: the real processing happens on our servers, and the short wait is what buys the quality.
Actually free — all the way to the download button
No watermark, no preview-then-pay wall, no account. Both tracks download as clean MP3s exactly as you heard them on the page. The only limits are fair-use ones that keep the tool free for everyone: a few songs every few minutes, and files up to 40 MB.
Your music stays yours
Your file uploads over an encrypted connection, is processed on our own servers, and is deleted automatically the moment your tracks are ready. Nothing is stored, shared, or used to train AI.
Getting the cleanest result
Give it the best file you have — WAV, FLAC, or a high-bitrate MP3 always beats a low-quality rip. Modern studio mixes come out cleanest; heavy reverb, stacked harmonies, and live recordings can leave a faint ghost of the vocal behind. And if you want more than the vocals gone — drums, bass, guitar, and piano each on their own track — the stem splitter does the full six-way split.

Vocal Remover FAQ
How does the vocal remover work?
It runs Demucs, a neural source-separation model from Meta AI research, on our servers. The model is trained to recognize what a human voice sounds like inside a full mix, so it lifts the vocal out and returns two tracks: a karaoke instrumental and an isolated acapella. Unlike old center-channel tricks, it works on any mix — mono or stereo — and keeps the music full.
Is the vocal remover free?
Yes. Both tracks are fully downloadable — no preview wall, no credits, no sign-up, no watermark. To keep it free for everyone there is a fair-use limit of a few songs every few minutes, and files are capped at 40 MB.
Do I get the acapella as well as the instrumental?
Yes. Every upload returns both stems — the instrumental (karaoke) version and the isolated vocals (acapella) — each with its own player and MP3 download.
Does it remove vocals perfectly?
On modern studio mixes the separation is very clean. Dense, heavily layered, live, or reverb-drenched recordings can leave faint traces of the vocal in the instrumental. A higher-quality source file always separates better.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
Yes — AI separation is far too heavy to run in a browser. Your song is uploaded over an encrypted connection, processed on our own Google Cloud servers, and deleted automatically as soon as the separation finishes. It is never shared with third parties or used for training.
How long does it take?
Usually one to three minutes, depending on the length of the song. The AI separates the entire track on a server — the short wait is what buys instrumental quality no instant EQ trick can match.
What file formats are supported?
MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, and AAC up to 40 MB. Mono and stereo files both work. Both output tracks download as MP3.
Can I use the results commercially?
For private practice, home karaoke, and study you are fine. Publishing, monetizing, or performing separated tracks from copyrighted songs requires permission from the rights holder — for commercial projects, use music you own the rights to.
Is there a watermark on the output?
No watermark, no ads, no attribution tag. Both stems are clean MP3s, identical to what you previewed on the page.
