Is the online audio editor free?

What audio formats are supported?
Import MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, M4A, AAC, and WebM. Export as WAV for lossless quality or MP3 at 192 kbps for smaller files.
Can I record my voice directly in the editor?
Yes. Click the Record button (or press R) to capture audio from your microphone. The recording lands on the timeline as a new clip, ready to trim and edit. Nothing is uploaded — the recording stays in your browser.
How does the vocal remover work?
Select a stereo clip and click Edit → Remove Vocals. The editor cancels the center-panned audio (where vocals usually sit) and outputs an instrumental. Works best on commercial pop, rock, and hip-hop where the vocal is mixed to the middle of the stereo field.
Can I clean up podcast or voice-over audio?
Yes. The Fix menu is built for voice: Enhance Voice (a one-click cleanup chain), Remove Noise, De-Hum, De-Rumble, De-Click, De-Plosive and De-Esser, plus Remove Silence, Auto-Trim Silence and a Noise Gate. Tone tools like Voice EQ and Voice Compressor live under the Sound menu. You can apply any of them to the whole clip or just a selected region.
Is the editing non-destructive? Can I remove an effect later?
Yes — fully non-destructive. Every effect you apply becomes a removable tag on the clip, so you can switch it off, delete it, or re-tweak it at any time, not just Undo. Your original audio is always kept and the chain is re-rendered from it, so nothing is permanently baked in until you export.
Can I change audio speed, reverse, or pitch?
Yes. The Edit menu includes Reverse, Speed and Tempo change (0.5×–2×), Pitch shift (keeps duration), a Voice Changer, and Mono/Stereo conversion. Pitch can be applied to just a selected region; Normalize and loudness tools live under Sound → Dynamics.
Can I edit music and songs with multiple tracks?
Yes. Layer instrumentals, vocals, and beats on separate tracks with independent volume, mute, and solo. Trim intros and outros, add fades, and crossfade between songs.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The editor runs entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API. No downloads, no plugins. Works on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
Is my audio uploaded to a server?

Direct keys: Space for play/pause, R to toggle recording, + / − to zoom, Home/End to jump to start/end, T to trim to a selection, Delete to cut a selection (or remove a clip), ⌘/Ctrl+Z undo, ⌘/Ctrl+Shift+Z redo, ⌘/Ctrl+D duplicate, ⌘/Ctrl+Shift+S split at playhead, and ? for the full shortcut sheet. Right-click any clip for the Edit, Fix, and Sound menus, plus align and crossfade.
